I've always found this to be true, to a point where whenever I saw Twitter babble stating the opposite I just assumed it was aspirational cap.

Every woman in my family worked so most couples I knew growing up spilt the bills, maybe not always 50/50 but the bills were definitely shared. Granddad paid the mortgage and car stuff, grandma paid for groceries, school clothes, etc. It's the only model that ever really made sense to me.

I think most women who are against 50/50 usually work at call centers, low wage earners or hate their jobs. So they can’t even fathom going to work and helping with bills.

So do I. And granted it's only a small sample size but the women quoted in the OP sound exactly like the working class women I know who have experienced what life is like paying 100% of everything SOLO. To them 50/50 would be a dream come true cause even just going half on rent is a game changer.

"More than 80 percent of black mothers are the breadwinners (defined as sole earner or bringing in at least 40 percent of total earnings) in their household.
So a man who is bringing in 60%, which is more than even 50%, is not considered the breadwinner. Then what the fukk is he? Breadwinner Alpha? :skip: If anything, if this shyt is valid (it doesn't seem like it), it speaks more to racial wage gap than anything else. Congrats, you proved racism is real. :wow:
