My Wife is natural. The hardest thing for black women is retention. How do they prevent breakage? You can find a sister with the exact same hair, follow her regimen to the tee, and still get breakage.
:wow:
Her hair went to the middle of her back, then she cut it completely off before our first baby.

She’s ready to start her journey again after this final cut.

I can’t tel you how many products we have at the house now. Three girls and all different textures.
:francis:
Those products are expensive too.
:damn:

it's giving tougher than nigerian hair :wow:
Her hair is beautiful. Ugh. Every time I’m tempted to straighten it a younger girl in my family or a stranger will say she likes my hair and my heart goes 🄺

Omg I remember this girl had to be like 15 and she was with her mom; she ran up to me a few years ago going ā€œI love your haaaaaair!ā€ with a big bright smile and I was like ā€œ:wow: these kids are watching us. Gotta be a good exampleā€.

I always had long hair growing up because my father would not let me cut it. Even when I wanted bangs it was a struggle

Freshman year in college I went Halle Berry short and realized short hair requires more maintenance

I grew it out, in 2014 I cut it off again but I was natural so it was better to manage

Now I'm back to trying to get back to bra strap length

People like to speak negatively on protective styles but that's the best way to retain length and grow lush thick hair

YES!!! Whenever I think my hair looks like a frizzy cotton ball, someone will compliment me. I'll think to myself so maybe I don't need to wash my hair today

:ehh:

Do you have hair weeks or moments when your curls are on point but you don't know what you did to get there lol. A while ago I had the biggest, bouncy, lush twist out I've ever had. I don't know what I did to achieve it and I've been chasing that high for months lol.
