The news for BlackBerry is just going frombad to worse these days. The latest development comes from its manufacturing partner Jabil Circuit, which has apparently had enough of the company's troubles and is looking for a way out. Speaking on the company's quarterly earnings call yesterday, Jabil CEO Mark Mondello said that "we are faced with a strong possibility of disengaging with BlackBerry," adding, "our team has worked diligently over the past few days to comprehend the recently announced changes," and that "we're in discussions right now on how we're going to wind down the relationship."

I pronounced this company dead way back in 2009 back on SOHH, it just took longer than I expected. LOL @ all the peeps in there clutching onto their stone-tablet ass phones claiming this day would never come and talking about how special BBM was. How anyone couldn't see the writing on the wall in the face of iPhone and Android rising is beyond me, but here it is. Black and white. Shyt's over, breh.

*doesn't pour one out*

Once they fold and there phones start selling for pennies you think there's going to be a market in buying them and selling them overseas, I know they still hugely popular in the Caribbean and South America
nah, look for a cheap Lumia to replace the 520/521 soon

BB still has a foothold in Corporate America even though its probably dwindling. I don't know why Apple or Google wouldn't buy those contracts from BB and slowly migrate them over to iOS or Android

They been lost that, most corporation's rocking apple devices and other places like schools using Android

Government still uses BB and my company (Fortune 100) still uses them with no plan of changing since Apple/Google products is currently banned at work...

BlackBerry still has a market share of about 38% among businesses with more than 10,000 employees, as well as more than a 33% share in government and financial institutions, according to Steve Brasen, managing research director at Enterprise Management Associates Inc., which analyzes the information technology industry.

Everyone always trots out their corporate marketshare but that's dwindling as well. What was it in 2009? What was it in 2010? What was it the last two years? I bet it was all more than it is today... and that's the point. There's no GROWTH. Apple and Google are making inroads and slowly but surely encroaching on that marketshare.
