Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles threw an interception in the third quarter of a Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos that was returned 51 yards for a touchdown by Bradley Roby.

It was the 11th time in Bortles’ career that an interception was taken back for a touchdown, setting an NFL record for pick-sixes through the first three seasons of an NFL career:



Bortles is throwing interceptions so often that he’s already in the top 50 all-time in career pick-sixes thrown. Among the players he’s tied with is Troy Aikman (played 12 seasons), Boomer Esiason (14 seasons), Jeff Garcia (11 seasons), and Archie Manning (14 seasons).

With just one more interception returned for a touchdown, Bortles would tie Tom Brady’s mark of 12 in his career, despite the fact that Brady has played in 233 career games and Bortles hasn’t yet hit 50.

Its crazy, but last season he threw 35 touchdowns (tied for second with a few other QBs) and set a bunch of Jaguars single season passing records. GOAT stat padding cac.
