How'd I miss this thread? This might be one of the worst threads of the season.
Someone said 2009 isn't a different era than 2019 when pace went from 91 to 100 and 3pt shots went from 18 a game to 32 a game.
Someone said the 2018 Celtics were better than the 2007 Pistons.
Someone called the East that young LeBron played in "historically weak" even though 3 different East teams won titles in his first 5 seasons.
Someone said LeBron couldn't defend in a season where he finished 1st-team All-Defense and was runner-up to Dwight in the DPOY race.
Someone said LeBron wasn't as good a scorer when he scored more in EVERY season after his rookie year than Giannis ever did in ANY season until this year.
And that was in an NBA that played 10% slower than today's league.
LeBron out there winning a scoring title, averaging 31+ppg for a season, 48 in a pivotal game against a good Detroit defense, 45 in Game 7 against a classic Celtics team, 39ppg for an entire series against DPOY Dwight....but he's an inferior scorer to someone who hasn't even developed a three yet.
LeBron was taking Boobie and Wally to the Finals, Giannis didn't even win a playoff series until this year despite Middleton, Bledsoe, and Brogdon ALL being better than anyone LeBron had on the Cavs. fukk, you could form a team entirely from Milwaukee's bench and it would have been better than what LeBron had.
Of course you can say that.
