Can't deny dude's freestyle skills but I hate a code switcher. Back in the 106 days, this dude rapped in a heavy NY accent and wore Yankee fitteds. Whole style was on the dikk of up north east coast. Nowadays he is a good ole country boy all down south twanged out?? If you from SC, why did you hide your southern roots back in the day? Cause down south style wasn't the wave? Now it's the wave and you sing country music raps? I can't get jiggy with that brehs. Disability or not... can't never trust a cac to be who they really are around black folk.
I'm gonna shoot him some bail, at one point both carolina's were on NYC heavy. Might have to do with a lot of folks having family from NY/NJ and vise-versa, Ex. JCole.

OK maybe but why fake an accent? I'm confused... so is his REAL accent a NYC accent since that was what the Carolinas was on during his upbringing? And the new country twang southern accent is fake? Or is it that he was always country and faked the NYC accent back then? I don't get it and it is very suspect. There were always folk in the Carolinas and in Virginia that leaned more towards a NYC style/sound, mostly because they were transplants or their parents were from there. But as a down south nikka myself, most of the people I knew from the Carolinas were country as hell, on that geechi shyt. So this dude's persona seems phony as fukk. I get it, he is blind so he is a master of sound... hearing it... and imitating it. So it seems to me he is an imitator. Again, not taking away from his actual talent.. but... hip hop culture is about being real, and being true to who you are and where you're from... any fakeness is frowned upon heavily. That's why I don't like the code switch here.
