Blizzard enters the money grab: Official Heroes Of The Storm thread

I mean the MOBA genre

Poor titanfall... came out same month as Diablo 3 Expansion, Elder Scrolls Online betas + Release (end of month), Hearthstone official release and now Heroes of The Storm enters non NDA beta

It might not even be top 10 on the twitch page by saturday

Infinite Crisis open beta got completely thrown into the bushes within minutes Blizzard dont give a fukk

Basically, a simple break down is, the game is like League of Legends and DOTA but with Blizzard heroes like Arthas, Illidan, Raynor, Kerrigan, Diablo, etc.


1. theres mounts? no room for that bull shyt in mobas

2. both teams can have same characters

3. theres no items to buy



so basically you just grab a hero and whoever has the better team make up, wins... and since each team can pick the same heroes... everyone will be picking the same working team every single game and itll be the same team vs same team

so far... game looks like garbage

Blizzard shoulda bought DOTA when the offer was on the table.

From the little I saw the game looks ass. They got a long way to go if they plan to overtake Dota 2 or LoL.

Blizzard needs something to eat up a few years before their next MMORPG comes out to replace WoW. MOBAs are really popular at the moment. LoL, Dota2, HoN, Smite, and Strife are just a few really popular ones.

HOTS will prolly be tho.

Heroes of the Storm has a lot of Heroes... but you dont have to learn the items to buy for each one

Game looks alright, but the MOBA market is sown up by LoL and DOTA2 - LoL has the teenage market, DOTA2 has the students, hardly anyone else plays these games. On top of that Blizzard's image isn't enough to get people to flock to the game. If this was released even a year ago they would have got some of the people leaving SC2, now they don't even have that.

In saying that, I'll definitely play the game, Hearthstone was solid, I'm sure this will be too.

Eh you can just play the same 2-3 characters.

Honestly I'd forget about LoL, it does take a long time to get into, and the community is horrible. Moreover it takes fukking ages to play proper competitive games.

You are best off playing DOTA2 with a few friends.
