A simple lawsuit on what grounds? They would probably tie it up in litigation for years, you know Bloomberg Business has dough, so they can fight a lawsuit easily or even settle. A simple ass whooping would be much more effective. Can you imagine the slow down on this reckless behavior if instead of worrying about getting sued, they would worry about getting a brick through their car window or getting their ass whooped in the street by dudes wearing ski masks. This irresponsible fukkery would stop immediately. You don't see people drawing the Prophet for a reason. Even though its savage as hell, people don't want to end up on that terrorist summerjam screen for disrespecting.

I live in the Bay Area and housing has rebounded a lot in the past year. I was a first time home buyer in 2010, and since my house has gone up I get solicited all the time for HELOCs and REFIs;I smell them coming a mile away. I am currently refinancing, but only for a lower rate I do not plan on taking any money out of my home.

This article is nothing but another example of how the banks will dangle that carrot in front of your face in hopes you lack discipline & take it. I mean its not like these people depicted in the article stole the money, someone had to give it to them in the first place. For me personally, I get mad less about it and just practice discipline and keep it moving. Pay that house off and not use it as an ATM.
