Canada just had an election. On Bluesky, one party leader has a blue checkmark and another does not. Even though the party leader with a blue checkmark did not link their domain.

Agreed. In some circumstances (like if one's display name is sufficiently long) the displayed handle will be truncated or absent entirely, making it non-obvious (without actually clicking on the account) whether the account is self-verified.

Something like a hollow checkmark icon would work well.

I feel like the reporting flow would make more sense if it were reversed: I should be able to pick a moderation service first (if I'm subscribed to multiple), and then doing so should provide options tailored to the chosen moderation service.

For example, if I'm subscribed to a "WeDogs" moderation service that has a label for "Hates Dogs", if I find a post that's mean to dogs I should be able to report it by picking the "WeDogs" service, which then gives me a reason list specific to that service that includes "Hates Dogs".
