Ehhh.. He has a universe of shows on that channel, I'm sure he can influence it to stay for another year if he wanted to. If not, why would they sign up for spin offs

But the notion of him, himself, having the capacity to shut down a full ass major production full of all kinds of contracts of not only actors but staffing agencies, equipment rentals , and management, insurance , filming permits etc etc all because someone pissed him off is Hollywierd smoke and mirrors. Not if they really had bad ratings. Also, he's a producer on the show and most of that is in his job title, it's possible.

Dovetails into my point. Greenlit means he aint make that call.

Just like in the music industry, the final product of film production is just a front. The film industry is a whole ass racket with all kinds of open and hidden capital streams and tax games of all sorts where legacies of big money come to chow down.
