The Charlotte Bobcats are “looking to make a splash” during the offseason and are open to trading their No. 4 overall draft pick in a package for a veteran star, according to The Boston Globe‘s Gary Washburn.

Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh could be a “prime candidate,” according to the report, as there are rumors the Heat will look to trade Bosh. The Bobcats could take on his near-maximum contract.

“As much as Charlotte would love to build through the draft, team officials understand they have to start winning and need a player to be the face of the franchise. Bosh could serve that purpose,” Washburn writes.

The 29-year-old Bosh will make about $79 million over the next four seasons as part of his six-year, $109.8-million deal. The contract includes an early termination option in 2014 and a player option for the 2015-16 season.

Maryland center Alex Len, Indiana shooting guard Victor Oladipo, Michigan point guard Trey Burke and UNLV forward Anthony Bennett are expected to be in the mix for the No. 4 spot in the June 27 draft.

Im on the fence if this rumor is true. Biyombo next to Bosh isn't a bad look. By the time MKG, Kemba, Henderson reach their prime Bosh will be declining. But with#4 pick in this draft who will Heat get thats better than Bosh?:mindblown:
But Miami cannot keep the big 3 through 2015. So Idk:ehh:

True but

Bosh already has 10 seasons under his belt..Almost every draft has 4-5 good players.

Draft a big..Miami dont need a big who shoots 5 3's a game.

Of course the ATL
But Miami is looking to win a championship next season. Why risk it on a project & essentially start the rebuild process a year early?

this is dumb enough to be true.

The Bobcats would rather trade a top pick because they have no faith in their scouting department and get a player who is clearly on the decline..... Sounds like an MJ decision

Charlotte doesn't wanna keep losing. Eventually losing becomes an institution that's hard to shake.

This trade won't happen, but I understand the logic. Get something of impact if you can do it and just break the cycle of sucking for a bit.

So Charlotte would rather get Bosh over Alex Len, Anthony Bennett or Cody Zeller , because they have no faith in the development of their coaching staff?

I would do it if I were the hornets/bobcats .. Bosh still got 4 all star level type of seasons left..They would probably make the playoffs with him..considering how weak the east is.

I cant see Miami trading dude next year tho..so this is basically a pointless discussion.
