So what I'm getting is any black male with influential power shouldn't go out and try and help a cause, because if you even open your mouth and try, you will get burned on a stake for not fitting into other people's specific agendas.




Jordan made a great gesture by contributing money towards the training of officers, as we all know, a lot of these murders are partly caused by insufficient training.



Train these individuals to disable hostile targets through non-lethal methods. Shoot a certain part of the leg, arm, a bean bag to the right place.




Train these men that are supposed to protect us, to refrain from barbaric ways, this is 2016, you should not be allowed to be a protector of civilians whom is able to carry a lethal weapon, without getting sufficiently trained to do so.




Start reporting racist activities since school, At work, save those instances in a permanent record and use THAT AS PART OF YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK.




don't blame mike, he can't fix hundreds of years of prejudice by himself.

Either you're deliberately missing the point or it went over your head. Hey weren't criticizing Nike for trying to help or not solving the problem all by himself. They criticized him for making an empty gesture where he tryna play both sides of the fence on the issue. Mike's donation to the police and the wording of his statement illustrated that he doesn't get it. The whole stunt was an insult to black people.

As long as people continue to play this both sides are at fault then nothing will get solved period. The Police don't have to adjust how they police and nothing changes. What Jordan did is basically this and that's why some people don't agree with it.

His problem is the statement, not giving money to the Community Training police.

Bomani made several very cogent points, and his position/viewpoint is shared by many in the African-American community.
