So many shytty films that rehash blacks stereotypes

But he owns his own shyt and provides jobs for black people
<Slide in the Alonzo Mourning gif of him shaking his head on the bench>

They are terrible movies I hate that have a heavy following

But TP encouraged me to get into video and films because his shyt was so bad he made me feel I couldn't do any worse than he could. Which kinda means he's the most influential filmmaker to me. I never felt like I could do films watching John Singleton and Spike Lee cuz their shyt was too good, it intimidated me.

Tyler Perry is paradox because I don't like his shyt and think it's stereotypical trash but at the same time he's the human personification of black excellence and inspiration at the same damn time.

I kind of want to see it, and I almost never want to see his movies.

I've always wanted to see a scary movie with black people who have common sense instead of clueless characters who get killed easily.

Yes I know it's not really going to be scary.

This:manny:He giving his primary audience, black women, what they want.
Older black women. Most young people do not watch his stuff. My grandma has almost all of his movies and plays though. lol

Eh, knowing my grams, she's gonna add that to her TP collection. :yeshrug: and I might watch just because.

His earlier movies were good tho. idk. If anything, I think he should stick to plays. at least they had/have a decent plot - although they're over the top.

Welp, at least he's breaking the "black people die in horror movies" trope :blessed:

But I'll give him props - He is putting black people on, and I can't hate on him for that - despite the stereotypical characters. Plus, he owns his shyt.:patrice::manny:
