Books On Business, Who's Reading Them?

My cousin lol, she's a cool dork but has always had books on giving the perfect interview and creating the perfect résumé and such. Her husband as well, and they've made enough money for me to not say anything else more and hope you get the drift.

Anyway, I've just picked one up and I'm starting to dig it, its on management, but I was wondering if any of my coli business folks reads them, if so can you post a few?

I'm 23, I have no bachelors but an AA. I'll get my Bach's later but for right now I'm experiencing life (travelling and working and trying to learn more before I start to dedicate my life to a 401k) but I'm still wanting to learn more about business and banking and such.

The far majority of business books written by white businessmen do more harm than good for black men. You cannot move operate in the world the same as they do. Besides that most of them are nothing more than glorified self-help books.

You can't be serious. Your success in the business world is all about who you know what connections you have and what capital you have access to. Guess who has the least access to Capital in the least access to Social Capital in this world? This group of people starts with a b and ends with a k.

I disagree. There's nothing stoppingyou from creating a great product and selling it online anonymously.

You can only be so Anonymous when it comes to Banks Distributors and suppliers. Plus eventually if you are successful enough your customers are going to want to meet you. Then on top of that living in a time when you're competing with with companies that have huge presences. It's not hopeless but it's not the Cakewalk that these white business people make it sound like.

Outside commentating what is he truly successful at? I mean I know he was a college professor but he has it ran any successful businesses? I hate to even say this about another black person but it does appear that he may have scam some people.

Edit: I hate to put on my tinfoil hat but doesn't it strike you as bizarre that about the time Reginald Lewis became the most powerful Black entrepreneur in the world he mysteriously dies

No one is saying it's a cakewalk. Just saying an entrepreneur should want as much education as possible about business. The American education system is created by white folk yet most still covet diplomas and degrees.

It's not pessimism to know what you're getting into. If that it can save you a lot of trouble down the line. Now I'm not against entrepreneur ISM as much as I am against a lot of these business books written by people who for the most part aren't successful or had much of their success everything butt handed to them by the date of their position in this Society is white people. Most of these guys who write these books would not be able to write these books if they were black men.
