just as good as their predecessors.

For The People, Rude Awakening, Magnum Force, M-Pire Strike Back, and War Zone all came out around 97-99 and was critically panned by so-called "Hip-Hop" heads. They said these album had more of a keyboard sound (whatever that means) than the first albums. I thought these albums were dope and showed BCC growth into the new millenium.

Why is Enta Da Stage, Da Shinin', Nocturnal, and Da Storm perfect cold weather music, tho?

I had "For The People" im high school. It was alright for a couple of tracks but the production was kind of wack when they switched from samples to keyboards and synths.

Magnum force was dope.
Blackmoon's warzone could of been classic if it werent for sample clearance issues...

They were better than folks made them out to be but still didnt come close to their classics.

Magnum Force was good but just a little bit lacking.
Rude Awakening was alright.
M-Pire Shrikes Back was pretty bad overall.

War Zone though? Lowkey better than Enta Da Stage but don't say that too loud :whoa:

They fell victim to the same shyt all of the nyc 90s rappers fell victim too in 99-2001...with that production shift.

Swizz beats and ruff ryders the prime exampl.

Only album I rock with is War Zone. That didn't have a "keyboard" production style.

I like for the People but it didn't have staying power due to the weaker production. Magnum Force was good 3 outta 5. Sean P was on the verge of finding his niche. War Zone was a banger and now I kinda prefer it over Enta Da Stage. The Cocoa Brovaz album was ass minus 2 maybe 3 tracks. I could never get through it without skipping tracks. By far their worst album.

OGC I thought was good although it was a completely different sound. Lousiville was sleep at the Wheel while Starrang hung out the window like 2pac with his middle fingers up chasing Top Dogg.

I didn't think Da Storm was a good album to begin with, so I guess you are correct as far as OGC. Magnum Force & War Zone were okay, but def a step down from their previous work. I thought Rude Awakening was a very good album.

Magnum Force and M-Pire Shrikez Back are 2 of my favorite albums ever. I was playing Magnum Force around Xmas and thinking why do people think the production is sooo bad on these?? It really isn't. It doesn't have that cheesy swizz beats keyboard sound. The lyrics are dope as fukk, but its whatever, what a mother rucker :youngsabo: listens to never bothered me.

Worldwide(Rock The World)
Call Of The Wild
Gunz N Onez
I Ain't Havin That
SeanWigginz
Forget Me Knots
MFC Lawz
Gang's All Here

are all :whoo:

Now M-Pire Shrikez Back to me is just :lawd:. Starang was my favorite rapper back then, he couldn't spit a wack verse in my eyes.
The way the album starts....:noah:

Check this shyt out this year
nikkas put up or get out
Fore' I put the hit out
Have me smack shyt out
These bytch ass nikkas
It make em all spit out
Blood and teeth
Yo what the fukk y'all want beef?
Word up, I roll heavily in my LX 470
Pull up at all the spots
Make my enemies remember me
I jet from the scene
Spliff in the sunset
I get out ya flinch and I ain't go for my gun yet

The whole MFC 4 LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE shyt was dope. Had me saying that shyt like everybody was saying G-G-G-G-G-G-Unit years later!!!!!!!:krs:

This thread got me hyped, bout to put this shyt on for the ride home from work.
