#don'tvote people emboldened the right wing.

Always remember Trump won most of the battle ground states by the slimmest of margins because people couldn't 'stomach' Hillary.

:russell: Any black person relying on the US educational system to teach their children about their history already lost. Its still “Well gahdamn, it must be #bothsides!”
this has more to do with producing more white kids with no knowledge of the past so they can grow up to be conservative voters

:francis:

new blacks like you are exactly what they like

It's not bout that alone. It's what they teaching every kid.

They fought hard at the idea of a real racial history being accounted for in those books and return with this b*stardized fictitious take to protect THEIR kids from viewing their ancestors as the demons they were. To protect them from feeling responsible... The Black children are an afterthought. All the years they taught Black kids their incomplete history they were not concerned about their mental self image.

There is a war going on. Might be a war of ideology but the effects are real.

People might have to realistically start considering alternatives to public classrooms when education becomes the battlefront.

I'm all for black parents teaching thier kids the truth about black history, but I'm also not naive to the fact that a lot of black parents are incapabale of teaching that history, because they themselves were not taught the deep history of black people. You had a lot of black people not too long ago that didn't even know about Tusla.

Ultimately the end goal is for Republicans to erase the history and the significanse of slavery (and then Jm Crow), so they can justify bringing back Jim Crow laws, and downplay the effects of slavery and jim crow laws, to bascially say that the reason that black people are in the positions that they're in at the moment is because of us, and not factors out of our control, and more young white people will beleive it.
