before you 6 cert brehs start clowning me, i got no certs :to:

got a baby on the way and needed something simple and cheap to get around in. saved up $4k to buy something used and ended up only spending $2500 on a 2004 Chevy Impala LS. 3800 V6 motor and fully loaded. only 109k miles.

Gas milage is wack, but i work in midtown manhattan so i wont be driving this much. maybe 30 miles a week on average so a full tank should last me more than 2 weeks.

engine is strong, tranny is strong(seller told me i should change the shift solenoid kit soon but it isnt something i have to do, just something he would do as a person who takes care of his cars). only issues with this car are cosmetic. a few dents here and there and the paint is chipping off the back bumper. also the sunroof and the 2 back passenger windows have this weird rainbow like stain on them.

im still waiting for the wheels to fall off or something because of how good a deal i got on this.

I be bytchin lil 4 bangers all the time :birdman:. 200 horses ain't shyt compared to what they dropping nowadays, but you see somebody pull up next to you at a light in a bytch ass Honda and it's .

in my 2 years I've effectively got my ass handed to me by mustangs, audis, and challengers (why was I trying to race them anyway :heh::heh:)

But when it comes to those lil queers trying to show out in a 2dr Honda or a Toyota celica, then it's our turn to son some fools :win:

Congratulations on the baby.

I have a mini-van. :manny: You gotta do what you gotta do. It's got a V6 so if it's not loaded down, it's pretty fast.

thanks

my first choice was a minivan. i realllyyy wanted a honda odyssey, but i have been looking for months and found nothing in my range that seemed worth it. almost all of them were upwards of 140,000 miles or 2003 and older. then i started looking at american minivans, but almost all of them are trash and malfunction too much(i had a chevy venture that broke down on me all the time as did my dad's plymouth voyager).

somebody suggested an impala because of how huge the trunk is for strollers and groceries and how huge the backseat was(comfortably fits 3 large people in the back). plus the fact that impala's and crown vics are extremely plentiful and the parts easy to find and cheap. im somebody who takes really good care of his cars so i decided i would go with one and just hope for the best. gotta say im really feeling this car.

Man, you got what you thought was a good deal and as long as it works out for you that's what counts. By not putting a lot of miles on it you should be just fine man. Congrats on your purchase.

That's a good deal for the money. Impalas are not the most exciting of cars but they are solid and reliable. Plus it has low miles.
