Besides supporting 4K TVs for better image quality and graphics/performance:

3 usb ports(OG had 2)
better wifi(5GHZ wifi)
1TB hard drive(500GB on PS4)
better quality sharing for live streams
quieter than reg ps4
better visual quality in PSVR games

Only $100 more. It's future proofing anyway.

Yeah it is. Starting out it was a pain for alot of 4K TVS not picking up the signal but things are working now.

Running games in 60fps 4K is piff. And if your tV has low input lag or a game mode, makes it even better on the eyes.

Get the pro if you have a 4K TV. If not, get the slim.

I just gave my brother my old PS4 (I bought the pro), and he's loving it on his 720p tv (:whoa: my brother doesn't have the same technological ideals that I do. I tried to teach him, but he's more into very high end audio :ld:)

I got the PS4 slim because I only paid $212 for it brand new with Uncharted 4

But if it wasn't such a good deal I probably would have just paid 200 more for the PS4 Pro

But I am only using my PlayStation 4 4 exclusive so I don't really care about the graphics as much as I do on my Xbox One

Is it as quiet as the slim?

i don't have a slim but compared to my OG PS4 it's quiet as a mouse. My old PS4 would sound almost like a hair dryer playing UC4 but on the Pro aside from the sound of the disc revving up at first,it's quiet. :yeshrug:
I just rebuilt an OG PS4. You console guys are just dirty as fukk. Once you clean it out and apply high quality thermal paste the OG PS4 is also very quiet.

Some of the filth i have seen in these machines is incredible. The xbox crowd is even worse. I cleaned out an OG xbox a few months back and dude had spilled soda, potato chips and also had a penny lodged in there. Surprised it still worked.

As far as the question goes. I actually think if you want to go cheap, go for the OG model if you can find it because of the optical audio support.

If not, grab the Pro.
