Lookin to get my first car, I'm looking for a used vehicle between the 2.5k-5k price range, good gas mileage, not too many miles and looks cool. Any advice?

Honda Civic if ur sensible. Easy as fck to repair. Aughts Monte Carlo if ur trying to low lvl sensibly stunt. But I'd go with Honda if u can get ur money up n do a trade later for something u really want.

- Do you live in a place where it snows? If so, get FRONT WHEEL DRIVE. Trust me on this.
- DO NOT get a car with RainSense. Trust me on this.
- get you a color that looks good with dust on it for the days in between your washings. That's next level game, right thurr.
Never heard this before, Rainsense is the feature that makes the wipers work automatically whenever it rains right?

Yeah.

Problem with that is - it will develop a mind of it's own. It rained hard for 3 days in a row once, and on the 4th day it still kept going
even though it was raining. Had me drivin' down the street lookin' an ass. lol

Damn lol
I actually did some research and I read that during the winter when theres ice on the windshield from an ovenight snowstorm it will think its rain and will activate as soon as you turn the car on, causing the wiper motor to go because the wipers are trying to brush off the ice, or they are frozen to the windshield, thats crazy.

Cause it is

I would

- avoid Honda/Toyotas... they are generally overpriced
- keep it basic... no luxury cars
- dont worry so much about mileage

Theres stuff out there but u def gotta compromise

Used Hondas and Toyotas with a high reliability history with have a higher price than a used poop mobile. Let's be honest, that's the way the market works.

I agree to stay away from luxury cars. Repair and parts are expensive relative to the price of the car. One Mercedes-Benz motor mount is like double to triple the cost of one in a Mazda.

I would look at the mileage in comparison to the year of the car. It gives you (or someone who works on their own car) a ball park idea of what things are going to go fail in the next year, via normal wear and tear. Battery, alternator, shocks, spark plugs, O2 sensor, brake pads, engine, etc.
