First, they're leather uppers made with goretex, so It's not anywhere near the same as a regular AF1. Regular AF1, after multiple wears, would look a lot worse than these when worn the same amount of times. Secondly, plain and simple is seen by many, myself included, as cleaner than the garish and ostentatious sneakers and shoes that a lot of brehs rock.
