Breh, I'm getting my braces put on in January and I have mixed feelings about it. Naturally your orthodontist will find something "wrong" and recommend the braces or Invisalign. For what he wanted to do with my teeth Invisalign wasn't an option. So starting from last December I had 4 wisdom teeth pull, gum treatments (to prep for the braces), an expander put in and brackets/rubber bands.

My smile was/is fine but I could see areas that needed improvement. So I'm going thru with it since he really wants to make my smile/teeth look official. And I guess I'm okay with that. But I see why people just don't bother with the dentist. It's flat out painful. Straight up.

During the course of this I've had to learn to speak with an expander, deal with the brackets and the bands on them and then there's the financial commitment. My job insurance only pays for kids to get braces but it wouldn't have mattered since my ortho is out of network. Lame. It's about $5500 from one of the city's best orthodontists and in 18 months I'm sure I'll be happy with the result.

My lil cousin had braces in a while back and they fukked his teeth all the way up after he got them out all his top front teeth started to rot, they say it's because the lil fukker was drinking hella fizzy juice without using a straw..

anyway I just got the metal braces two weeks ago, my teeth aren't bad but I wanted them straighter then what they were if Im destined to be in these cinemas, ya smell me? People looking at me like " fukk you get braces for, slime?"

The first 2 days are kinda painful and you cant eat solid food for a week ( in my case). Mashed potatoes and applesauce will become your best friends I've been told and invest in a blender if you dont have one. Dont know shyt ab Invisalign other than you have to take them out when you eat.

I'd say my teeth are at about a solid B right now.

Next year imma do the braces and do the laser teeth whitening. If you can afford it, why not go ahead and get perfect teeth bytches love a picturesque smile.
