He's an a$$hole, but if he wrote his own shyt, he'd have all the tools to be a great artist. People can't look past the child star shyt. If Drake could do it, I don't see why Bow Wow couldn't have spoken with the music too.

what really hurt bow wow is that he literally grew up in front of america's eyes.
no matter how dope they are, no child rapper gets taken seriously after they hit a certain age.

Didn't Drake do the same thing? I think the fact that Bow Wow didn't get to blow
before the game softened up a little and music for the "everyman" was appreciated hurt him. If an artist like Bow Wow came up today, he'd have a much easier time making the transition. Look at Justin Timberlake or Drake. Both child stars, grew up in front of their respective countries, but they did it with the music I guess. Bow Wow needs to drop something dope.

yeah but how many people in america really watched degrassi like that? it wasn't until he was on the verge of blowing up everyone was like "oh by the way, he starred in that canadian show as a kid."
meanwhile bow wow was like 12 years old in videos rapping with snoop dogg, jermaine dupri and jagged edge. it was only a matter of time until his core audience grew up and grew out of his music.
