^^Really want something besides a heavy/speed bag, not sure whether to go with this or an uppercut bag

^^Open to suggestions here. Need new gloves primarily for heavy bag work. I'm 6 foot 210, can't decide if I should get 14oz's or 16oz's(knuckle problems)

@patscorpio @SkiHatDaGawd @SuikodenII @ChocolateGiddyUp and all my other coli fam who actually throw hands.

nothing wrong with the tear drop heavy bag...those are best for putting work with your uppercuts..personal preference though is a hard like concrete traditional heavy bag
i got an 100lb pound heavy right now....hard to throw body shots and uppercuts

Traiin with the bigger gloves the 16oz...more protection on your hands N if you ever use smaller gloves for whatever reason sparring, fighting, whatever...it'll feel light N your arms won't get tired as fast

Also make sure you wrapping your hands I use the 180s the others ones way to small for me.

This the bag I got....I needed a smaller one since I moved N its perfect for the crib...its nice af for uppercuts N its easy to put up N take down:jawalrus:

How much that one run breh? How much it weigh?
I use the everlast pro 180 wraps with title gel knuckle wraps. My hands need a glove with great wrist protection and a good knuckle pocket......for under $150

I got it for $99 + shipping which was like an extra $20

I'd say its between 60-70 pounds...its sturdy tho N you can throw erry punch you need too...I had an old school Everlast heavy bag that weighed over 100 pounds N even tho I bought the wrecking ball for convenience I like it much better then the old school bag:ld:

12 and 16 oz gloves will protect your hands but theyre big and clunky and you cant sink the last three knuckles into a target with them because they obscure the shape of the fist so much by being so much larger than a natural fist should be. jack dempsey and archie moore said to punch with the last three knuckles of the fist because this area created a solid line down through into the wrist and the whole arm. they said that striking on the last three knuckles lock the hand into this imaginary solid line down the whole arm. i think that large gloves increase the striking area of the last three knuckles too much over a larger area than natural and that interrupts that imaginary solid line down from the fist through the wrist and down the rest of the arm that you wanted to create. if you look at all the old pictures of all the old fighters all of them used the "bag gloves" smaller than regulation size gloves to hit the bag. with the smaller gloves you must know how to create a proper fist or you will injure your hands a cruel way to learn but it reinforces proper technique

That's a good bag but I agree with Pat, the old hard as hell bag is best. The only thing I will suggest is probably a 150lb. bag (once you master the100 lb. you'll need a challenge) and 18 oz. gloves. Spend good money on your gloves, they will take care you. Also I would suggest that you take your time and ease into those little bag gloves, matter of fact leave those for the advanced.
