Has he received the supermax offer yet and is just mulling it over? I can't imagine turning down a quarter billion dollars. You take that money even it's the Kings or Magic 💰

He's not turning down that $250 million, so I don't get why he's still trying to drag it out. It's the same situation with Lavine as everyone knows that they are taking the money. They'd be a fool not to.

The max the Wiz can give him is 5 yrs $235M. If he opts into $36M for next season and gets 4 yr $190M max extension assurance from a new team after getting traded, he’ll be giving up $10-15M over 5 years. That’s not a big sacrifice, especially if he goes to a lucrative endorsement market like LA.

Why would he do that when he could take the guaranteed money now and then force his way out down the road?

Because this is his best opportunity to join a contender without them having to give up too many assets. Wiz will demand more in future trades if they have him under long-term contract.

Top 4
wouldn't even be a loss for the wizards
I'd actually be celebrating and take that lakers deal ASAP one year of westbrook and then you're free? :blessed:

oh no without bradley beal what's going to happen? going to miss the playoffs? already have numerous times
going to barely make the playoffs and get flamed out first round? already happened
going to be in the bottom half of attendance? already happened

the most the wizards have won with bradley beal is 49 wins and he was playing second fiddle to john wall

this isn't like losing curry, giannis, jokic, bron etc.
