Dude was def blocking like an offensive lineman. Extending his elbow and rotating/pivoting as Thompson tried to get around him. I'm not sure it would have mattered though. JR fukked up.

That's kinda how it works. If the play is drawn up properly and intricate enough it will cause confusion to free someone up.

If anything, Stevens is known for his timeout plays. He's legit maybe the best in the league at them now. They get a clean look with the shooter they want 75-85% of the time.

those last 2 plays off inbounds were things of beauty. easily got WIDE open looks. ive said before on here hes 2nd to only pop, and on out of bounds sequences he might not be in the backseat to anybody. laughable he wasnt even in the top 3 coach of the year finalists

That's not an illegal screen in the NBA. That's just a screen.

Nah it was illegal he had Thompson's arm hooked. Set one just as bad at the end of game 6 vs the Wizards to free Isaiah. Never getting called there though.
Even with that Thompson messed up by initiating contact, looked like he was trying to box him out at the 3 point line If he just plays off him a bit, he can't set the screen as easily.
