@SouljaVoy cosign everything your saying. I explained the situation in another thread months ago. I stated that the only chance we have of today's generation discussing what Eminem said about Black people in the past is if we have a "Bill Cosby moment"

If you dont know what i mean by that...people forget this but remember how all this Bill Cosby stuff started....a Black comedian made a joke about how bill cosby rapes women and then twitter picked up on the story...

he was in the news in a minor way for the stuff back in 2005 but not in the era of social media

Same how em was in the news for this racist shyt in 2003/2004 but not in the era of social media

Our only hope is if someone whether a fellow artist or some entertainer brings up Eminem never talking about social situations and how he disrespected Black women and called them ******s and made light of what happened with Janay Rice, etc

if he does get called out on it and twitter runs with it....its gonna be one of the biggest stories even bigger than cosby because most of the new generation does not know about it.

then i wouldnt be suprised if we see shyt from people like Proof's babymother coming out saying he hasnt helped to support his "best friend's" girl since he died

I respectfully disagree with this.

I don't believe twitter would make a big deal out of this at all. There are black rappers/entertainers who disrespect black people everyday.I can write down a list of black entertainers that have said distasteful shyt about black from n.minaj,50cent,C,Brown to A.Banks,S,Dash,ect.The one thing eminem has going in his favor is that he apoligize for what he said and has not made any anti black comments on record in the last 20 years.Bill cosby on the other hand was drugging and rapping bytches for 50 years and continues to deny his actions.

Eminem gave proof's baby mother a lump sum of money after his death,so that would totally contradict the notion that eminem hates black women or does not help the black people he associates with. We've never heard any stories of eminem cheating his artist out of money or trying to stop another rapper from making a come up unlike some of the other hip hop moguls(jay-z,Diddy,etc) Even the artist that are no longer on shady records speak highly of eminem.

Also,I think it's crazy that some black people call eminem a racist but in the very next vain want him to speak up on black issues.Besides,do you really think interscope would promote a eminem record or album that was socially conscious ? I highly doubt it.

Listen, the eminem racist tapes are fukked up.But I feel he is truly sorry for what he siad on those tapes. Also,if eminem was really a racist how come no black person has ever come forward accusing eminem of racist behavior. You would think that with all of the black people eminem has come into contact with that there would be at least one incident where eminem displayed racist behavior directly at a black person.

BTW:Jay-z and Nas defending Paltrows use of the word nikka is more upsetting than the eminem racist tapes in my opinion.

how many times are guys gonna use the excuse that Black artists have said worse things about Black women/Black people?

lmao for real its like every time we bring eminem's "past" that is the go to response...

but i guarantee if someone used the same logic in a thread on freddie gray, mike brown or sandra bland ...that person would be negged for ages.

so why yall only wanna act like its right to say "Black artists do the same" when it comes to music/art?

how is that different than "what about black on black crime"?

who the hell cares if eminem has been spoken highly of? dudes always kill me with this shyt...they think every racist white person has to be a Donald Trump type who is "mean" to them

How old are you? Because I notice the younger generation seems to be the most brainwashed when it comes tto shyt.
Do you not understand the significance of a White person making a racist song about Black Women through an ARTFORM created by us?

What I remember is that Benzino expose Em, and it was Benzino who was trashed -- not Em. Kind of like Meek versus Drake. There was a lot of hand waving, not just because Benzino was not loved (for good reason). Black women who were offended were told it was no big deal on forums like this. Lil Kim, the ur-Minaj, could still claim she'd fukk him or whatever.

It took a long time for the tide to turn so that, yes, it's okay to say that 'Foolish Pride' was not an okay track and Em didn't get a pass for making it just because of his youth or his blood-brother friendship with Proof.

Then Em made Yellow Brick Road.

Maybe the issue was then, like now, a lot of these forums were populated not by black people but by cacs so of course cacs wouldn't see what the issue was with some white boy doing what he did in Foolish Pride. Who knows.

As for Em, he is a very talented rapper, and yes he's a Top X of all time. That's separate from the other shyt.

I listened to his craft and in his early days, he was one of the best in the game but he's not in my top 10 or close. He's in the category with DMX. Not the same, with Em being a lyrical wordsmith and DMX being a tone setter but they aren't top 10 MC's.

Honestly, he's the most overrated rapper mainly due to white people.

I feel it's like this, the same way White ppl act like Barry Bonds don't exist it's the same with me for Eminem. He will never command the respect. He is Royce Da 5'9 with white privilege and Dr. Dre beats. I'll pass.

I always thought Royce was better overall. And that was before Encore. Royce had bad luck with labels and shyt. Dude should be be up there with Em real spit.
