I bought the finance, side hustle, business school and investing e-book from brehs website as per a referral from a coli breh. The investing e-book has some great info as a 23 yr old just getting started in his career.

It goes into detail about how to get involved in stocks, cryptocurrency and ETFs. The ETFs portion had me licking my chops bc it seemed the "easiest" to get involved in.

Talked about setting up different funds for things for may want:

-Investing 200/month for 5 yrs>cashout 12k for a new car every 5 years. Or wait out the $200/month investment for 8 yrs and cash out 25-29k for a new car
-Investing $2000/month for 15 yrs and cashing out 700k to become "technically" retired, and taking transferring the 1 mil to other accounts and living off the 50k/year (5% interest off the 1 mil)

Maybe some brehs knew about this but this basic stuff had me hype:jbhmm::wow::mjgrin:

What is everyone doing investment wise? Im trying to get right financially

Right now I'm at 0 since I just got into the legit career workforce. By March it April I hope to have a good handle on my monthly finances so that I can start making moves on the investment front. I'll be maxing my company's 401K match from the jump. Beyond that I want to buy shares of companies that pay regular dividends so that I'll have some passive income, even if it's only a few cents or dollars - gotta start somewhere. Additionally I'll be getting into some index funds but I have more research to do on that front. The end goal is real estate. Depending on my expenses I want to put at least $500 per month into a high yield savings account to start getting ready for acquiring an investment property.

first things first, one of the most important habits is to have a monthly budget, and to stick by it

simple as that

seems easy, but easier said then done

also, max out 401k/roth (esp if your company matches anything)

after your monthly expenses budgeted, put the rest of your money into investments

for novice investors, index funds and etfs the way to go, if u wanna gamble, go for the fang stocks or something
