I ain't thought properly about this, but hear me out before you rip it to shreds
Orton, Sheamus and Big Show lose at Mania however you wanna book it - it doesn't really matter. Orton stays face for Mania night.
The next night on Raw he comes down to the ring and starts to cut a promo along the lines of "we couldn't beat the Shield this time, but I promise you that we'll get them next time blah blah blah" when:
Bray Wyatt appears on the entrance ramp (without the Wyatt Family), mic in hand. Orton mouths something along the lines of "who is this?" and looks confused while Wyatt starts to cut a promo while walking down to the ring along the lines of:
"We spend our entire lives trying to fight nature. From the moment we're born, we try and change who we are, how we act and what we do. You can't fight who you are, Randy. This isn't you, man. I've been watching you for a long time now...I know all about you, yes I do. I see a man at war with himself. A man who struggles between being who he wants to be and who people think he should be. A man whose soul is in desperate need of salvation. Now I ain't trying to be the one to save you man - you gotta find your own path...but I can help you on the road to it."
Wyatt gets in the ring, walking around Orton.
"You gotta understand, man, that I know these things. I know the pain you feel every day when you wake up and put on a face to the world that you hate. Deep down inside yourself you wanna be the man you know you are. The man who kicked John Cena's daddy in the face for lookin' at him wrong. You can fight and fight as much as you want, but what's gonna happen when your mind and your body's tired of fighting, Randy? When you're lying in bed not wanting to get up because you're sick of living a lie? The facade you built up is crumblin', man. It's fallin' down all around you because in your heart you're letting it. Can't fight nature, Randy. You just can't fight it."
As the promo goes on Wyatt gets more and more in Orton's face, and Orton begins to look conflicted because he knows the truth of what Wyatt is saying. He RKO's Wyatt and leaves the ring looking angry with himself. As he reaches the top of the stage (with the camera focused on him) Wyatt, still lying on the mat in the ring, is laughing.
"this is where it all begins, man..."
I ain't thought much about it after that
but it sets the seeds for an Orton turn while at the same time immediately debuting Wyatt strongly, showcasing his talent with words and manipulating people.
Of course, this could all be garbage and I'm chatting complete shyt
