I don't have a problem with Lula I just always found it fascinating how he seems cool with the Venezuela situation, and for a nation of it's size you can say Brazil could be more influential in the region but they are kind of their own universe.

BRICS is a Joke. That said the right wing Brazilian candidates are trash on avg, and the current US Admin is too dysfunctional so Lula may have a good chance to win his 4th Term and "Sticking it to the USA" is a good way to get attention away from other dysfunction.
