The floor fell out of the economy after the USSR collapsed. Russia started attacking it's neighbors for people, power, and resources. Thing is Canada will have NATO, and Mexico/Latin America will probably get China. China is basically peacing it up with all of east Asia.

The US will have Russia, Israel... maybe Saudi Arabia? But Russia is an unreliable actor and honestly wouldn't expect them to do shyt unless they are set to substantially gain from it.
