I did a google search on this and didn’t see anything about that. The issue seemed to be that if the medication was exposed to high heat, a carcinogen went from safe levels (that you would find in burned meat) to unsafe levels. The longer the product was on the shelf, the problem also arose, independent of exposure to high heat.It was recalled because certain Chinese generic companies made generic forms of it contaminated with carcinogens. Brand name zantac didn't have that.
