Nobody in the international community recognizes it as Russia and Ukraine keeps attacking soldiers and supplies there. Ukraine has also swept the Black Sea of the Russia navy. The US declaring Russia owns Crimea would make basically imply Ukraine is attacking Russia sovereignty which is wild
