Breh... Stick to the topic....

I've never had a 90s Porsche but I'm sure there's some flabby and sick owners who miss those old versions

You can relish the past without sh!tting on present day... The comparisons need to stop.

Its a new era. A new day.

:camby:

Get all the way the fukk outta here with that "new ear new day" bullshyt. HipHop is at a all time low because of muthafukkaz like you with that gibber jabber.

:childplease:

Using dope samples is played out in HipHop now?

i don't think he'll retire. maybe a short break but retire? naw

i know he's frustrated because the fashion scene is what he really seems to want to pursue now but for as rich as he is, he still needs hip hop or some bridge to the hip hop to make money so that he can fund his fashion interest. the more money he speeds to get his fashion scene off the ground, the more money he needs to keep it movin'. which is why he really can't completely retire from hip hop (his "bread and butter") if he doesn't wanna go broke from takin' chances and spendin' money on fashion before he even accomplishes that goal

he even speaks on why he couldn't fully make the move into fashion in a matter of like a minute in this sway interview (at the 21:11 mark "time vs. money")

long story short; kanye is not "old" money. he needs rap or somethin' connected to the hip hop world before he retires from it and pursues fashion full time just to make sure he doesn't go broke spendin' what he does have now before he even starts to see his fashion business be successful. sure, he's rich compared to the average blue collar worker or as sly stone would say "everyday people" but kanye is "new" money

i'll say this much, his motivation and drive is unlike any other artist or entertainer right now :wow:

ye has an endorsement from adidas.
where adidas foots the cost for all the designs, manufacturing etc.
so, ye is pretty much set as far as being able to do other ventures.
plus, has a backer who is known for that type of artistic expression and carries weight in the realm that ye is best served to create a draw in.

the ye version of the Y3.
will probably sell out like the many incarnations of the Y3, yeezy's [nike and high end designed incarnation] and scott's.

yeah, but he's still got a long way to go if he tryin' to be the next ralph lauren and that's what burns him up. he feels like they should already see his "genius" in fashion but stuff like that doesn't happen overnight. it takes a lot of time to get major moves like that in order and movin' they way he wants them to be. time, is one thing he mentioned in that interview with sway. him havin' to do albums and features takes away from the time he needs to be focused on the fashion business but he still needs hip hop in order to maintain his relevancy (we all know hip hop is very "what have you done for me lately") and to keep sellin' his brand because it's his bread and butter. it's a catch 22 until he really gets in the door with fashion

kanye ain't tryin' to be like russell simmons (phat farm) or diddy (sean john) and make a quick buck and bounce with fashion. he's really invested in the fashion world
