To put it simply, we do a lot of mobilizing but not organizing.That’s not true. We do conduct collective organizing. Usually around boycotts where due to our spending habits we have an outsize influence on a lot of the vendors we decide to boycott.
I think your argument is we don’t have enough lobbying efforts that rely on money and not on people and you would be right. However, on a deeper level you have to ask, is it we don’t spend money in the right places or is it that the right places don’t want us to spend money with them because they would prefer to not owe us loyalty?
My argument isn’t in regard to spending habits, buying power, etc. When I get some time behind a computer instead of this phone I’ll try to expand more on where I’m coming from.
