A possible tornado touched down in west Jefferson County today. There are reports of extensive damage in the Ensley area.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue has responded to the Fairfield area, where several buildings were damaged. The Express Oil Change collapsed during the storm.

There also reports of damaged buildings in an area near Ensley Avenue and Interstate 59, fire officials said on social media.
WVTM 13 reporter Jon Paepcke says the power is out in a heavily damaged area of Fairfield.
Officials at the scene said that three people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
