Damn, Doc Rivers probably wishes he got fired by Milwaukee, so he could get something like a 5 year contract from Pelicans

Pelicans are the worst franchise in the league, like they need to sell the franchise to somebody else for any changes to happen. Add the fact that they are in a tough western conference and there is no competitive basketball player who'd want to play there.

If they were in eastern conference, they could probably build a play-in contender like they were couple years ago.

I thought about it but this isn’t a bad job once you get rid of the clutter (Zion, Poole, Murray).

I’m not a fan of Dumars making that draft trade but Fears, Queen and Murphy is not a bad core to build around.

Yeah, they do. Trey Murphy III is a really solid player, and Herb Jones is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. Fears is a rookie putting up 15 a game, and Derik Queen also looks good early on. Not sure how Dejounte will look when he comes back, and then of course there’s Zion

Here's what I would do.

Zion: Let him get healthy, and get him playing good. Trade him in a package with Murray to try to get a starter/6th man and a FRP (or two) and a 2nd rounder.

Poole: Keep him and use him how GS used him. They need another shooter besides Trey.

My thought is, if you can't get Malone or Jenkins, keep Borrego. Though, I'd love to see Becky, Coach Staley, and Coach Spoon get head coach jobs one day soon. They really know their shyt.
