Don't take this wrong way. But it's the truth. I don't argue or debate Hip Hop with white folks. I just don't. Agree to disagree.
There isn't objective truth when we're talking about musical preferences, do you man I don't care who you choose to discuss hiphop with. The only thing I'm disputing here is dikky "not liking hiphop culture".

It's more that we have different connections with Hip Hop, that's why I wont. I did listen to his album though. Just didn't like it.

I doubt our connections with hip-hop are much different but that's your opinion, I respect that you listened to the music and formed your own opinion instead of reading reddit comments and then saying you hate said artist.

It came with my free Apple Music subscription. So I bumped it. He can flow, just didn't feel it like that.

And our connections with Hip Hop are vastly different. It's the one place where white people are the minority, it's bound to be different.

yeah but you don't know my background or where I come from. I went to majority black schools growing up and hip-hop is the only musical genre I've truly loved, I was bumping rakim, nas, blackstar, outkast, UGK etc when I was 11 years old, I can't tell you how many black folks have said similar shyt to me then we start chopping it up and they realize I'm not much different then them. Hip-hop is universal :manny:

Hip Hop is universal the same way Japanese Cutlure is universal. A lot of cultures are universal. And a lot of people can partake in these cutlures. But the people who are reponsible for the birth of the Culture are always going to have a unique connection with it that outsiders can't understand. Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't mean you don't have a connection. It means we don't share the same connection.

I get where you're coming from, I just feel like our love and appreciation for the music comes from the same place, I mean, you don't even converse with other white people about hip-hop because we weren't responsible for it's birth or creation? Seems a little ridiculous. But :salute: anyway

Not converse. I do that obviously. I'm just talking about debating what's okay and what's not in the culture. Debating albums though? I'm with it :myman:

???? I Looked up why he was banned. It said vote manipulation. Are black Lil dikky fans racist too? Way to be completely irrational. You can't just like someone's music? I gotta be racist and think he's the "next savior" (whatever the flying fukk that means)

I used to somehwat be cool with dikky ulti he said he should be celebrated because he left his good life( grad. college and had a real nice job somewhere) instead of "hood dudes" like chief keef who take up rapping cause they have nothing to loose and he did...that ish was low key racist af and reeked off entitlement fukk him and anyone that supports that ish.

And yeah, dude obvi hatres hip hop culture (aa culture)...and thinks it stupid, where do you think the whole " Oh, im a do this different/better" mind state comes from?
