Winder if HBO boxing and the archive comes back via netflix
I'm not sure why they haven't done that yet. I get that they probably can't show the entrances (or they'd have to dub them) but you can just start the video from when the bell rings.
The thing that js a bit confusing is if the Promoters are who own the archives or is it case by case, because Top Rank has their archives on Tubi. I dint have Paramount+ but I’d assume the Showtime archieves could be there
Yeah, I read quite a bit about this. The rights are messy with promoters owning some or all of some fight footage. HBO does have a boxing channel on Tubi where they show some old fights. Tubi in general seems to have a lot of boxing on there.
They bought the rights to the sequel for a hit movie in Knives Out and gave its sequel 10 days in theaters, pulled it, the put it back after it was released on Netflix.

I'm telling you. This will end up in court,. And the next president will decide this. It won't close in 2 years.
How the fukk did this happen.
Wasn't one of the richest people on earth trying to get this deal. And subsequently why so many people were bending knee to Trump fakkit ass to get the deal done??
I'm confused but if it's a L for Trump I'm with it
Exactly too many people operate off feelings. It’s a true saying “follow the money”. If the numbers don’t support the model, it doesn’t matter what the sentiment is. People will cry and most about this but will laugh at the latest flops and only gravitate to the popular movies which is now maybe 4-5 per year. The cost of movies and the marketing budgets keep rising and the recoup amount is dwindling. At home has just become cheaper. My personal take is if all parties were serious about saving the theater why aren’t the theater heads part of these conversations. It’s always Hollywood via tech. Shouldn’t AMC and Regal be in the loop? Tech will always win bc it’s meant to shortcut and distribute faster. Thats the thing about the old days, they are the old days.Paramount and Comcast both already own studios. Netflix getting WBD means fewer redundancies. I personally see Movie Theaters as a bad business model today, so Netflix isn't going to kill Theaters, Theaters are just zombies that don't know they are already dead. Netflix spent Chipotle money marketing K-Pop Demon Hunters for its streaming service. If they chose to put it in Theaters first, they would have had to spend a minimum of $50 Million in marketing to inform fans of the movie going to theaters. Then Netflix would be splitting the ticket revenue with the Theaters. So their aversion to theaters is financially legit. Studios are spending anywhere from $100 - $200 Million marketing each Blockbuster film. I love the theater experience, but Hollywood studios have little incentive today to keep a movie in theaters, now that they all have their own streaming services. Theaters make a bigger cut of the ticket revenue the longer a movie remains in theaters, but Studios have been making theater runs shorter and shorter. Man of Steel spent 13-14 weeks in theaters, while Superman 2025 spent 5-6 weeks in theaters, and went to Digital VOD in only 35 days. For reference Titanic stayed in theaters 43 weeks. Thus the shorter theater runs and the consumer anticipation that a movie will quickly come to streaming is what killed theaters.
The big movie studios and Netflix should collectively buy up Showcase Cinemas and AMC, then have their new theater company market the movies, rather than the individual studios. The studios would save a ton of money over the course of a year on marketing, and it provides incentive for studios to keep their films in theaters longer since they are keeping all the ticket revenue. Most of the studios aren't making a ton of streaming anyway.
Trump wants to stay President for life. What makes you so sure he will leave??I'm telling you. This will end up in court,. And the next president will decide this. It won't close in 2 years.
