Things were different back then. Mainly white men were going around raping people. Outside of that the older gens had better social skills and communication. They usually politely rejected each other and people were used to in person rejection so didn’t overreact. I’d say things began to change when drugs became more common in America, more violence happened. Then with the internet being so common, poor social skills happened so now common social things are a big deal. Plus people may try to overcompensate bc they don’t want to look a certain way online.

Tldr: I don’t think men acted like this over rejection back in the day (unless you are talking about 70s and beyond)

I meant I don't believe they're as innocent as they claim to be regarding them "respectfully" declining his advances. This is obviously not to say that they deserve getting held up at gunpoint which I know everyone will interpret that way anyway, but I didn't even see a gun in the video and I also didn't see what transpired before the altercation for myself, so that's why I say I don't believe anything until I see for myself.....like the whole video of the girl lying about being hit with a brick.

I don't remember the name of the thread, but you could literally see the man yelling at the woman in the background even when other people were telling to leave her alone. It got to the point where he ended up getting arrested and he was still talking. Other posters more than likely know the thread I'm referring to because we all had the same reaction.
