The technology is getting better and better. Again tesla self driving cars are better but with that global market (no Tesla's here) they have the money and the markets to make BYD cars better so it's gonna be like Toyota in 20 years.

Americas don't buy Chinese cars because they're fukking pieces of shyt. Your life is on the line when you're driving a vehicle and I wouldn't trust a Chinese car to protect me. The airbags or brakes could fail, the engine could catch fire while I'm driving, fukk that.

The only reason I'm alive after my recent crash is because the car I was in protected me.

I almost bought a EV. But after my research I stuck with my ICE Mercedes. I may pick up a cheap EV at some point, but I won't spend for it. I love ICE engine too much. Its either a GT 63 AMG or a Aston Martin next. After we get some remodeling done in the house the wife said I could get whatever I wanted.

I did drive a tesla once and after the gimmick factor I was a bit underwhelmed. It was a rental on a business trip and sitting at a charger at midnight was a pain in the ass.

BYD's won't make it to the US becaues China subsidizes them and can make them cheaper than other US made cars it would kill the US automarket. They won't give China that much power. Its the right move unfortunately.

This is exactly why GM dropped the ball on the Bolt. That platform, stretched out a bit to be a compact car fully electric in the mid 30's? They'd sell everyone they could make it the range was decent.

And then add Supercruise as an option? GM is hustling backwards.

China is an unstoppable force, that’s just reality wether ppl like it or not.

Apple invested a lot into their industrial manufacturing over there… everything will eventually become high quality (it already is with other products like fashion, but people just don’t know they import all that shyt from china cheap af.. especially the materials).

Also, rumor is they figured out some advance shyt first.. that might make the leap ahead for the next decade or so.
