This case is different from regular stand your ground cases because the fat guy hit him first and would've kept hitting him if he didn't pull out his gun. I hope dude gets a good lawyer and gets the charge dropped. It would be hard for me personally to not shoot back after my attacker runs away.
Because if he gets away who knows if he will be caught and if caught would actually be charged. So many things can happen don't know if the witnesses will stay around to tell the cops what happened, don't know how good the surveillance cameras are or if they actually work, the attacker could be some spoiled son of a judge. So many factors come into play for a victim where you have to wait for justice and even then you might not get it. In this case it was Instant Karma!
