There's a plot of land this guy was selling in DR in the town my uncle lives in.
I wanna say it was 50 acres? We timed it...it's an 8 minute drive to the beach.
Build maybe a 3,000 square foot house on it...nothing too extravagant...
Garden...area for farm animals....big gazebo to host family gatherings...
That's what I'd do.
The guy who owned the land didn't want much either. I think like $40,000.
But buying in the DR is tricky. Sometimes people sell homes and it's not really theirs. Paperwork is sketchy as hell in DR. Good lawyers are hard to find. Most of the time you gotta pay all cash. And construction companies are notorious for delays, shoddy work and going over budget.
I've never had an interest for these giant multi-million dollar homes that a lot of rich celebrities and athletes get. All that space would just make me feel lonely unless I had a lot of people living with me to fill it up.
