Brehs Bow Wow was making Hollywood films at 14, why has his career been such a struggle?

Yes. The ''I'm not a rapper, I'm just a hustler'', ''don't worry if i write rhymes i write checks'' bullshyt doesn't work on this generation. Post Kanye the climate has changed in the culture to the point where even rappers as vapid & cliche as 2chainz are talking about their music as an art and not referring to it as just a get rich quick scheme

J Cole is the prototype. The super bragging Hov clones ain't gonna work anymore.

Nick Cannon didn't/doesn't have Will Smith's charisma (really, who does?) so I don't know why people keep making that comparison. Love Don't Cost A Thing was NOT leading Nick to Independence Day.

Nick Cannon has really overachieved GROSSLY, especially for the talent level that he has.

I mean he's a rapper who can't rhyme, a comedian who's not funny, an announcer with a kinda annoying voice, an actor without that much talent. I mean, he's made more out of less than anybody in Hollywood outside of Puffy.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
realistically, i think IF he kept all that money, he should be able to drop on his own.. but signing to cash money, he really can't... but he also doesn't drop mixtape after mixtape either. so maybe he doesn't even care about it at this point

now the reason why he fell of to the public... JD came out and admitted he wrote ALL of bow wow's songs. so he lost all credibility as a rapper from then on. tried to go off on his own with JD and it was dud after dud

so then he drops the "Lil" and decides to instantly go get 140 tattoos and be grown up and thuggin all the sudden... nobody bought that shyt either.. literally or otherwise

and now it's like he just accepted he'll always be lil bow wow. get his money where he can and keep it moving... can't blame him.. he still eating and happy and smiling. he ain't running round here bitter like most the same rappers from his era
