Missed out on 2 job opportunities within this past week due to what i believe is my poor interviewing skills. I feel like i will never crack the code on this interviewing shyt and it has cost me a couple opportunities that would have had me in a much better place in my life

Anyone else struggle with the same thing ?

Are you doing panel interviews, one on one, group, etc?

What questions are you finding difficult to navigate?
One was panel and the other was one on one. Situational questions tend to trip me up at times but It’s not really a specific question i struggle with i just tend to be really nervous so i end up tripping up on a lot of my answers.

In my own experience, I've found that the best approach, as basic as it seems is to go in relaxed, and try to actually have a decent time in the interview.

Given, most of these interviews were for sales positions where personality is key, but the basics are usually the same.

Know your shyt on whatever the subject matter is for the position, but not to the point of rigidity. At this point, most employers appear to be looking for someone who knows the basics, but is willing and able to modify to fit the company/department culture, and for any unexpected issues.

And, at least for me, if I get nervous before the interview, I pump myself up by convincing myself that the interview is less about me getting a job, and more about letting them know how crazy they'd be to pass me up.

I hate.. I loathe.. Panel interviews.

Nevertheless, I had the same issue when I used to interview. @ciroq drobama is right, measure out your answers, take some time to reflect on your response.. I've responded with "That's a really good question, I'm just gathering my thoughts for a reply."If I felt overwhelmed, a lot of interviewers can appreciate a response of sincerity towards the question.

It's okay breh,, I fukk up on S.T.A.R interviews sometimes too.... situation > action> result..... Tell me about a time you had difficult coworker ---,,, I can't tell them 100% time most of my problems are based on bigot white male CAC's

As someone who has interviewed and hired or been on the hiring panel for tons of people, I’ll say this:

Make sure that your answers (if opportune) align with team chemistry

Be likable

Answer honestly and genuinely

I’ve had people that were qualified not get the job because it wasn’t a good team fit, I’ve seen overqualified jerks not get the job, and you’d be surprised how people look when they try to make up answers and use the wrong words, when a simple admission of ignorance on the subject would show humility :manny:
