I feel like Hip Hop's where it's at atm because dude's don't draw a line in the sand anymore on what sounds good and what sounds bad. Facing off with some one elses product and showing just how superior yours is by showcasing lyricism, mic presence etc. in essence is another way we can resurrect this genre commercially.

Yeah I feel what your saying, battles aren't lyrical as much anymore. Last few I remember were Budden vs Saigon, and Deck at Budden. Nowadays with some of these whack rappers (in my opinion) like Drake he ain't gonna be able to battle someone properly cause he doesn't have that edge so they do some p*ssy shyt pointing to sales and money, ok but it's about SKILLS? Nas definitely has it in him, but like others have said, it would have to be something big for him to even be at that point again. He's over a decade older and he already cemented himself as the GOAT, so I doubt any sideways jab at him would get him riled up to that point.
