Love
The Beatles, outside of them - I would say you have a toss-up between Earth Wind & Fire and Parliament-Funkadelic

Brehs . . read this article, it's too long to post

:ehh: Good read. I think the writer was a little too dismissive of the Stones, but I cant hate.

Funkadelic's probably meant more to my life then any band besides zeppelin, and the Grateful Dead.

The reason I stand by this thread is because Funkadelic grooved harder then everyone else, and they also explored an incredible range of musical territory.

You don't get that lethal combination in rock music. Zeppelin got the hard, but they stay comfortably within electric blues and folk. Pink Floyd had an incredible versatility but they were kinda soft :yeshrug:

Funkadelic was the best of both worlds. Rhythm tighter then a motherfukker, and they explored everything from noise-rock, to old school R&B, the blues, gospel, acid rock and prog :wow:
