Outside of the advertised price I see online, Tax, Tag and title is any other charge/fee the dealer tries to tack on BS and I should not pay them?

I went to the dealer today, called before hand and asked dude does the price I see online include Dealer Fees and dude straight said "we dont charge dealer fees"

So I get there waste about an 1hr then it comes time to talk price of sale and cats hit me with 1.4k in Fees for crap like admin fee, car prep fee, shipping fee

I`m like :stopitslime::what:

we go back and forth, they dont tell me what I want to hear so I bounce.

Hitting up another spot in the morning, is this common place or just dealers trying to jug as much profit as possible?

I had like 300 bucks in fees (on top of tax title and license)

1400 sounds really high.

I will say, when I bought my Audi A6 back in 2009, the dealer gave me the total price right up front. I test drove the car for about 15 mins and did the paper work in 5. No bullshyt at all. I was actually on my lunch at the time.

They're usually all crooks. I was about to buy a brand new truck from a real GMC dealer and these b*stards was fukking with the numbers, adding and removing fees, so I said fukked them. If they can't be straight up about the total amount get the fukk out of there.

yea I`m telling dude straight up what the deal is, no need for a test drive or anything. Let me ask you this, should I try to get the Sticker price that doesn't include taxes as the OTD price? ITs already 6k under MSRP (of course I know MSRP means nothing), or should I more so aim for sticker price (maybe 1-300 under) and tax? I`m looking at Toyotas so they aren't OD marked up

If u are buying new, wait until end of summer/ fall. The dealers are trying to make room for new inventory so they will drop the prices. Also depending on how long that car has been sitting on that lot or hail damage(like minor hardly noticeable) can knock down the price. I'm thinking of trading my car in September.

If you go to a dealer and manage to drive off the lot paying the amount that's on the sticker , that's a win, cause that rarely happens.

I recommend buying from a private party, you get a better deal.

You go to a dealership they're going to try every trick in the book to fukk you over, so just be prepared to say screw it and walk out if you're even the slightest bit uncomfortable.

My bank already gave me financing to use at their preferred dealers which is oretty much any dealer that is a franchise of a manufacturer, and im buying new so private dealers are out the question

Damn, you've got to go right into the hornets nest.

I'd just say negotiate it down as best you can. :manny:
