I was addicted to video games as a teen, I saw the problem and I stopped after a struggle. My mom pointed out that I played 24/7...
I Itold myself I'd only play pc versions but that was also a disaster. I stopped.
Then bedridden with pregnancy I began mobile games... My husband pointed it out and I stopped.
My kids beg for a PS but I always say no. (Its not their fault I know... When they are old enough to not need supervision then they can have video games and I don't have to be around) They are little so play games on their tabs are not tempting to me so I'm safe for now.
My friends son wanted me to challenge me on his PS5... It took a bit of will power to decline the gamepad he was holding out to me, lol. I left the room and stopped watching the the kids while they played.
I won't lie, I MISS it. But have vowed never to play untill I am retired or something.
