According to my good friend who works there, the president of NYU graduated from a CUNY school back in the day with a 2.2 GPA. If true, and my boy would have zero reason to lie to me, let that sink in for a second on how important accumulated statistics are in determining real-world worth.

That's the thing I never thought that would get me work alone, I always thought that i would do a masters in public policy and public administration or masters of science in marketing or management. But I want a job now so I'm probably going to either become a cop or work as a border officer. I could always go back to school after if I felt like it. But now that 12-15k a year while going to school well I'm kinda tired of it and I want to make some real money

GPA doesn't matter with CS degree?

There's not a yes/no answer, it just depends.

Some companies (especially prestigious companies) care about your GPA, some don't. Some internships/development programs for new grads have GPA requirements, some don't.


Either way, skills/experience matter more.

If your looking to go for a masters or even phd/doctorate, the GPA matters as it will be a requirement to have for applying. For example, some will say undergraduate must have a gpa of 3.25 in order to be considered for the graduate program. Also, you must maintain a gpa average to stay in the graduate program as well.

For jobs not so much.

One of my homies became a cop and he has a engineering degree. They give you an extra 6k (im not sure of the amount) but I know you get extra money for having a degree.
