I’m 22 brehs I don’t know what to do :mjcry: , I’m legit terrified of grabbing the wheel. I know Id be a safe driver as I’d drive slow but still the thought terrifies me. I see how other people drive, on top of that my visions ass(I have glasses though). So on the off chance I have to go to work, and I can’t find my glasses that day I’m screwed:mjcry:. And that shyt is so expensive too, ofc I’d like to have my own car but everybody I know with a car has said it was cheaper for them when they used to Uber to work, or carpool rather than having the car long term

If she can do it, you can do it

Pay for behind the wheel lessons from a driving school that specializes in nervous adults

Unless you live in nyc or maybe certain central parts of chicago, you need to be able to drive

Uber is expensive right now, don't believe it. Just get behind the wheel and stop being scared. Go to driving school, then again one of them driving school mfs might yell at you because they're scared too.

Start learning defensive driving and start practicing in the early hours of the day and on Sundays, when there's barely any traffic.

Play around with highways on Sundays, just to get used to driving above the speed limit.

Maneuver through empty parking lots to get used to handling the vehicle and parking.

Bring a friend if you have to. Preferably one that's been driving for years.

If you haven't done the course, take the online one, but seriously pay attention and absorb the information it gives you. This helped me a lot when i was fresh

Good luck. The first time i drove a car was the day i took it for a test drive. Bought it, drove it home, and started driving to work the next day. That was like 2016. Now, I'd say I'm one of the best drivers on the road.

Also, align your side mirrors so that they continue from the edges of the image that you see in your rearview, giving you a wider display of what's behind and around you. No blind spots

Graduated from school in Minnesota recently, looking to get a job in Minneapolis
fasho. Good luck with the job search bro, hope you secure a good position.

As for your thread, it just takes time to feel comfortable behind the wheel. If there’s a car for you to use, practice going to the corner store, then the nearby gym, then the nearest mall.. Driving is more so defensive than offensive, meaning you should be worried about OTHER drivers and not yourself.

Plus it’s 100x cheaper & reliable to drive your own car opposed to Uber or Lyft

Easiest fukk up for rookie drivers. Newer cars got sensors that let you know a car is in your blind spot.

I was taught to check side, rear view, and turn ya head back for good measure.

I know some don’t believe in God on here but with anything that brings anxiety I say a prayer for inner and outer peace and I push through it.

We’re you or a loved one in an accident when you were younger?

Bro the only way to conquer your fears is to just do it I know that might sound cliche youngin but listen to a old head it's facts.

You know why you got to do it regardless. It's not that bad just control your own pace and always stay aware you'll be ok.

I got in a bad wreck a few years back and been shook of driving ever since. We don’t really have buses where I’m from so I never took them until I moved out of state. I see people eating, doing make up, on the computer while driving it’s insane :what:

Worst part is I got hit as a pedestrian last month while walking. Got a lawsuit cooking but now I’m scary when I cross the street :snoop:
